The currency used in Switzerland is the Swiss Franc (CHF). Foreign currency can be exchanged at banks, bureau de change and automatic currency exchange machines. Most of shops, hotels and restaurants are also accepting EURO currency.

Please do not leave bags or suitcases unattended at any time, whether inside or outside the session halls. Hotels strongly recommend that you use their safety deposit boxes for your valuables.

cancelCancellation of the event due to external factors

Despite the cancellation policies (section registration and section accommodation), if the event is cancelled, abandoned, suspended, postponed, altered, reduced in whole or in part by reason of Force Majeur, threat of terrorism or terrorist attack, war, fire, national emergency, labour dispute, strike, lock-out, civil disturbance, inevitable accident, the non-availability of the Venue, non-appearance of announced speakers or other reasons leading to programme changes or any other cause not within the Organiser's control, the Organiser, may at its entire discretion repay the fee to the Delegate or Exhibitor, or part thereof, but shall be under no obligation to repay the whole or part of such fee. If a cancellation according to section registration and/or section accommodation above has not yet been refunded and if the event is cancelled, abandoned, suspended, postponed, altered, reduced in whole or in part etc. because of a reason as provided for this section, in such a case the Organiser's discretion to repay the fee as provided for this section (registration or sponsorship) applies also to not yet refunded cancellations according to section registration. To the extent permitted by mandatory law, the Organiser shall also be under no liability to any Delegate, Exhibitor or Sponsor in respect of any actions, claims, consequential losses, other losses, costs, expenses whatsoever which may be brought against or suffered or incurred by the Delegate, Exhibitor or Sponsor, as the result of the happening of any such event mentioned above.

To the extent permitted by mandatory law, the Organiser is not able to take any responsibility whatsoever for injury or damage involving persons and property during the conference. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel, health and property insurance for their trip. Equally, participants are encouraged to take out insurance to cover costs such as flight, accommodation, registration fee and others in the case the event is cancelled or postponed for any reasons mentioned within these guidelines in the paragraph above.
